Man, this flood is making for the most ridiculous week of my life.

Today i bought a sword and went walking in the woods... looking for a river?

I don't know, the concept sounded good when we started, grab as many weapons as possible and head into the woods.

Fucking briers/water.

Oh by the way, there's a store in the mall called Oriental Gifts that sells wicked nice but illegal weapons. If you want brass knuckles, knives, brass knuckles with knives attached, butterfly knives or double edged blades (all very cheap mind you), then head there.

The guy barely speaks english, let alone cards people.

Oddly enough, I've decided the goal to life, or at least what I can make of it so far this week. It is basically comprised of 3 things.

1) Going to Las Vegas and living there.
2) Buying everything in Target so you can just stare at it at your leisure when you're completely fucked up.
3) Buying everything in that weapons store in the mall.

That's more or less what I can gather at least.

Soon I'll be releasing a rap CD for Illicit Productions under the name "Tha Ghost".

And I guarantee it will be the most ridiculously thing you'll ever hear.

If you want a copy, just ask me, we're mass producing them and giving them out all over the school anyways.

- I semi-enjoy most days at school.
- I'm getting a new band together
- Rabid Raccoon is going great. We have a demo out and are working on the full-length concept album, title pending.

So yeah, my life is prettttty good. I guess.

And from here, the world looks beautiful.

So school started, and everything didn't freak out and the world didn't end.

I actually have a decent schedule, that goes as follows:

A- Community Service doing office work in B House Office. Easiest fuckin class ever.
B- Honors Spanish. Probably my toughest class.
C- Physics with Fishel. Basically a math class with an interesting teacher.
D- English. With Pearson. It's like a flashback to last year.

So yeah. Life isn't so bad.

This weekend I hung out with Amy for the first time in a while, which is sort of different, because most of the people in relationships I know are like humping on each other 24/7 and are all "OMG I LOVE YOU <3".

But summer living is easy. And I never want to go back to school or wake up before noon again.

And by the way, I think Friday was the first time I ever actually appreciated a sunset. I mean, we all see things and go "Wow, cool" because you know, they're things that people always say are beautiful. You never actually think they look good, you say it but you don't feel it. A lot of nature is tremendously ugly.

Guess it all depends who you're with.

I never dreamed about the same thing happening more than once. Until last night.

Which is weird, because it is fairly insignificant, all I do is find the CD I had in my room my sister wanted, which I'm pretty sure is lost forever.

I had good day today, hung out with good people, added a third person to my jam band.

Life is good lately. Except for minor things.

But they don't matter anymore.

My birthday was 2 days ago.

I usually use it to signify that summer is half over. Sort of a depressing-ish thing to associate with your birthday.

The feeling of summertime is a sense of euphoria which is completely indescribable. It's a warm, full feeling, like when you're in love, and you can feel the emptiness when winter hits, which gives a bare, harsh feeling.

Like I was thinking, and summer is like a barrier, that softens the impact of bad news. Bad things just seem worse when it gest so cold that you can see your breath in your own room.

I dunno, maybe I'm just rambling.

Today I woke up and looked out the window. I never realized the view I have from it.

The quieter moments of summer vacation really get me to appreciate those things.

I'll be spending the next few days down the cape. Now that could range from 2 days to 5, because my dad has us all weekend. If it's 5, I'm hitchhiking home.

As long as I can remember, I've hated that place. Not so much the cape itself, but everything about where I stay and the people I deal with. Let me start with the cottage itself, being as it's my main problem. It's typically anywhere from 100-115 degrees in the cottage, moreso in the attic, which is where I sleep. Every night I fall asleep in the sweltering heat and every morning I wake up unable to breathe, covered in sweat. Additionally, I'm allergic to everything inside the cottage itself, which makes my nose run like a faucet.

I'd go on, but I'm not one to complain much.

By the way, I negelected to mention that I'm ofrming a grind project with the remaining members from Take Control, should be a good time.

Take Control is officially dead and over.We had a good run but we all just had different opinions as to the direction. Although there is some bad blood between certain members, for the most part we're still friends. Thanks to all those who came to our shows and those who supported us, without you we wouldn't have lasted long as we did. Particular thanks to All About Records for letting us play pretty much all our shows there. Matt Control, over and out.

"Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets."

I watched Taxi Driver today, it was actually pretty good.

At first I wasn't too impressed, then I remembered it was made almost 30 years ago, so naturally today's writers and directors have seen a lot more stuff done, what works and what doesn't. So for a 70s drama, it was excellent, which I guess is why people consider it a classic.

I can definitely see how it influenced modern movies about insomnia and loneliness, particularly in Fight Club, there's a lot of similarities between the two now that I think about it.

Today was the last day of school.

So my band played a show last night. Much love to the 8 or so people that showed up to see us, I appreciate it, I really do. Anyways, overall, last night was pretty effin terrible. There is tension between like, everybody. This has gotten to the point where Take Control almost ended last night.

But it didn't,thankfully.

I got into Take Control because I wanted something fun. Take Control was supposed to be a simple band, something between a couple friends that they could have fun with. Take Control was never aimed to go on a major label, or make tons of money or tour the world. And maybe people have forgotten that. Or maybe what they want is different now.

If anybody is booking a show ANYWHERE in Massachusetts, let me know, we'd more than likely be able to play.

Everyday there are little things that just make my life as awesome as it is. They are as follows.

- the morning McGriddle
- parking lot trash fights
- jamming out in the burnout lot
- seeing hott broads I walk past
- the walk back from lunch
- the 10 minute break in anatomy
- the HUGE bump my bus hits every day that must go down at least a whole foot
- afternoon nap
- collapsing onto my bed at some time post midnight

Without these things, hell life wouldn't be worth living.
